This issue focuses on the time spent in quarantine during the COVID-19 world pandemic. It became a multi-faceted issue that covered topics ranging from the stagnancy experienced during the pandemic to the Black Lives Matter movement in wake of the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery. I helped style a shoot titled “Tired” in which we tried to capture the isolation and the parallel feelings of loneliness and forlornness. We wanted the makeup to capture sickly feelings with purples and greens. The location was representative of the connection many people made with nature as we found a small escape being outside and saw our world begin to heal as we took a pause on our busy lives.
