Owner and founder Laura Horwath aims to give every woman a one-on-one shopping experience to help find quality items. Ferne also sells a selection of products from local artisans, including hand-poured candles by Detroit-based Honey & Home.

We are obsessed with this “Féministe” top (that’s French for feminist) from The New Feminists, a brand that’s all about equality, women’s empowerment, and community. Every month the company donates 10% of its sales to different organizations that align with its mission; previous recipients include Alternatives For Girls, Detroit Justice Center, Rebel Dogs Detroit, and Fighting Pretty.
